The cooperative, based in Spain, is engaged in the slaughtering, processing, and distribution of meat and related meat products. It is also involved in the provision of related support and services. It was formed in April of 2000. The cooperative has a registered business headquarters located in Vitigudino in Spain. Since its establishment, it has grown to be recognized as the largest cooperative in Salamanca and abroad and is increasingly a leader nationally. It comprises seven primary cooperatives (owners of the slaughterhouses). Eight percent of its production in feedlots fatten themselves with the recommended power and control and guidance of its technicians. The cooperative comprises approximately 400 farmers from member cooperatives, with 25,000 cows (most of the breeding herd are F2 offspring of the local breed); 65,000 sheep; and 500 breeding Iberian who traded through the slaughterhouse. In addition, the cooperative caters operations certification, veterinary advice, technical advice, livestock marketing, and formulation and animal nutrition.
